Hurricane Delta
I grew up in Kansas City Missouri where basements are plentiful to hide from incoming Tornados. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms in the South are about as common as winter, summer, spring, and fall. Once Labor Day arrives in September, its just a matter of time before the next big Storm will land in the Southeastern portion of the United States. I have seen and LIVED through a few of the most destructive natural disasters to ever land on this great nation of ours, from Hurricane Hugo, Katrina, and Harvey. I look back in awe at how we as a nation recovered, rebuilt, and restored our cities and states together even after these storms ravaged our cities. But, we all know there’s still cities and countries still struggling to recover because of funds. Right now Louisiana, as well as a few other places in our country needs our help.
Many of the citizens there have been without water, food and power for the past two days. The government I’m sure will do their part, but you and I can help too. Let’s be there for the families that have been impacted by this Storm. The Storm came, it went, and yet again we are still standing. Nothing can stop us when we choose to UNITE for the greater good of ALL MANKIND. When was the last time you helped a neighbor, stranger or family members struggling in a world of heartbreak?
