North Carolina Girl Scouts’ Earn Gold Award
They say once a girl scout, always a girl scout, or is that what Marine’s say? Long story short, recently the Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council announced the 2022 Gold Award recipients in the Charlotte area. Even during a pandemic these exceptional youth leaders earned the highest Girl Scouts’ award. Research confirms the lifetime benefits for Gold Award Girl Scouts’ and the positive impact the award has on their lives. The Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. The age groups range from 14 to 17 years old. The girls create meaningful, sustainable change locally, nationally, and even globally. The ‘Take Action’ projects make a huge impact in the community.
Tayuanee Dewberry, CEO of Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council is so proud and says, “These young ladies are the best of the best. This recognition is something many young girls aspire to achieve, yet only a small percentage accomplish. The Hornets’ Nest Council could not be prouder of this year’s recipients.” For a full list of our Charlotte, North Carolina Girl Scouts can be found here.
