Asking The Universe For $1 Million
Haven’t you prayed, asked, or meditated to increase your chances of buying a big win? I do it all the time. Adlett Squires of Charlotte took a chance on a $10 scratch-off ticket and won a $1 million prize. Squires bought her lucky Jumbo Bucks ticket from Murphy USA on Galleria Boulevard in Charlotte. When Squires arrived at lottery headquarters Friday, she had a big decision to make. Her choices are to receive her prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000. She chose the lump-sum amount of $600,000 and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $427,503.
