Release Date Announced For Hallmark Christmas Movie Filmed In North Carolina At Biltmore Estate
Are you one of the millions of people who love Hallmark Christmas movies? Then you’ll be happy to know the network recently released the lineup for the 2023 holiday season. “Countdown to Christmas” begins on Friday, October 20th which is just a month away. And one new Hallmark Christmas movie was filmed right here in North Carolina at the Biltmore Estate. It’s aptly titled “A Biltmore Christmas”. The movie will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m. as part of Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas.” The film stars Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha.
Here is a bit of the synopsis provided by the Hallmark Channel about the movie:
Lucy Hardgrove (Joy Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she’s hired to pen the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, His Merry Wife! First filmed in 1947 at beautiful, historic Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. When the head of the studio isn’t satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote because it deviates from the original’s feel-good conclusion, he sends Lucy to Biltmore Estate for research and inspiration. While there, she unwittingly discovers the ability to travel to the 1947 set of His Merry Wife! through the help of an hourglass.
While I’m not the biggest Hallmark Christmas movie fan, I absolutely love Biltmore Estate at Christmas so I may have to give this one a watch. The estate transforms each year into a winter wonderland highlighted by the Candlelight Christmas Evenings where tours of the meticulously decorated for Christmas house, are by candlelight with professional musicians serenading guests. It’s a stunning experience that everyone should have at least once!
