Megan Thee Stallion Blasted By Victim’s Family Of ‘Megan’s Law’
Megan Thee Stallion has been slammed by the victim’s family of Megan Kanka. She was the seven-year-old girl whose case inspired “Megan’s Law.” The Houston native used the line: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” she raps on “HISS.” The line was used as a diss towards Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender.
Megan’s Law was enacted in 1996 after Kanka was sexually assaulted and murdered by her neighbor, Jesse Timmendequas, in 1994. Timmendequas was convicted of assaulting two children prior to Kanka. The law made it a requirement for those convicted of sexual assault to be registered and keep their profiles public knowledge of those in the neighborhood.
TMZ reports that Kanka’s father, Richard Kanka, believes that “Megan dragging his late daughter’s name into the expletive-riddled song aimed at Nicki is as disrespectful as it gets, from his POV.”
The tabloid adds that Kanka is “actually considering looking into his legal options to see if Meg’s track went too far.”
So far, no legal action has been taken.
Nicki Minaj Fires Back At Megan Thee Stallion With “Big Foot”
After Megan released “HISS” on Friday (Jan. 26), Nicki wasted no time responding. The Pink Friday 2 rapper hopped on Instagram Live that same day with a now-viral bar aimed at Megan.
“Bad bitch she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” she rapped.
The bar refers to Tory Lanez shooting Megan in the foot in July 2020. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison last August for the crime.
Now, Nicki has a full song dedicated to debunking what Megan rapped in “HISS.”
“This lil’ beggin’ w—- talkin’ ’bout Megan’s law/ For a free beat, you could hit Megan raw (Ooh) If you a ghost writer, Pardi in Megan jaw (Ooh-ooh)/Shots thrown, but I still ain’t let Megan score (Tell ’em)/Bad bitch, she like six foot (Ooh), I call her Big Foot (Brr-brr)/The bitch fell off, I said, “Get up on your good foot” (Ah, ah),” Nicki raps.
