One of my favorite trips ever was going to a music festival with one of my best friends. I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much on my own, and I was safer, too.

No. 3 on the tally is Glacier National Park, which they call, “a favorite destination for hikers” and “an incredibly scenic vacation spot that borders Canada from the northern edge of Montana.” According to their report, the entrance fee is $35, and you can hike, swim and climb once in the park. The park also offers some free ranger-led activities, such as daylong hikes and stargazing at Logan Pass. Moving onto No. 2, it’s Moab, which is located between Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. It’s a great spot for hiking, biking and rafting down the Colorado River. Finally, the No. 1 best budget vacation spot in the U.S. is Grand Teton National Park. They state that this Wyoming spot has a $35 entrance fee, which covers every passenger in the vehicle. So, you can look at the hotels you want to stay at and their multiple locations in the area for the best rate. “Some hotels that are under construction may rent rooms at a discount, which is a great option if you can deal with the noise,” Fidelity.com points out.

Going out to eat on vacation can be one of the most exciting things about the trip. But, if you want to save on cash, skip a few meals out and opt for healthy, hearty snacks.
