These Hotels Have Amazing Outdoor Activities
When you book your vacation plans how often do you consider the activities that the hotel offers on-site? There are three particular hotels that I have traveled to over the past few years that have outstanding outdoor amenities. In fact, these activities allow for so much family fun that we choose to go back to these destinations just because of them.
Amenity is a broad category. That can mean everything from extra items within the room to make your stay more convenient to free breakfast to Wi-Fi. Here, though, we define amenities more as “activities.” Things that you can partake in on your own or with the entire family. You can let the kids run wild while you sit by the water and sip a drink. Or you can let the kids run wild, and you can run wild with them.
Over the summer months, it’s certainly common to jump in the car and take the family on adventures and excursions. However, these hotels allow you to park your car and then not see it again until you leave. There is a certain relaxation that comes with setting up shop at your hotel and having everything right there at your fingertips.
My Favorite Hotels For Outdoor Amenities
Although the rooms are comfortable and very nice, it’s likely you will only be in them to sleep at these destinations.
JW Marriott, Marco Island, Florida
At this southwest Florida destination, there is so much beach space filled with water trampolines and cabanas to jetskis, which are available to rent. There’s just one problem at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. In order to get to the beach you have to walk past the two pools. From waterslides to hot tubs, the pools are reason enough to visit here. During popular travel weeks, there’s often a concert or show of some sort set up on a full beachside stage.
Crystal Springs, Hamburg, New Jersey
In Sussex County, you will find acres of resort space that you will never want to leave. Crystal Springs Resort has indoor and outdoor pools that are filled with lush backdrops and swimming lanes. Scavenger hunts, glow golf, rock climbing, and arts and crafts are just some of the outdoor activities you can partake in. They will play outdoor movies on big screens many nights over the summer months. There’s so much to explore, that the second time I was there allowed my family and I to partake in both our favorite activities and jump into new experiences that we didn’t get to during our first visit.
Lighthouse Inn, West Dennis, Massachusetts (Cape Cod)
Now in its 86th year, the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis is a Cape Cod destination with amazing outdoor amenities. Whether you are staying in their main hotel or in one of the cottages on the property, you will have so much fun available to you right outside your door.
If, by chance, watersports are not your preference, you have many other activities to explore here. There’s shuffleboard, cornhole, and an epic playground in the grass space. If you prefer to just relax, there are Adirondack chairs spread out everywhere, enabling you to just sit with a nice drink and listen to the ocean waves.
