An Alien Invasion In North Carolina
What can you expect though? A lot of fun with fellow believers and lovers. From 9 am-7 pm, the length of Oak Avenue will be filled with fun.
There will be over a mile of unique UFO vendors (more than 175). These vendors will be selling and alien and space-related Arts and Crafts as well as commercial goods. In addition to alien-themed items, you can also find things related to the sun, moons & stars, the paranormal, Big Foot, and more.
And what’s a festival without food? Local restaurants & food trucks have developed special “galactic menus” for the occasion. Shop small at Spruce Pine’s Rustic downtown shops featuring Special Sales, and UFO Merchandise.
This years North Carolina Alien Invasion aka the Spruce Pine Alien Festival will also host a UFO/AlienXpo & Speaker Conference. This conference will be held at the Cross Street Commerce Center. This portion of the festival is a ticketed event.
Speakers include:
- Mike Bara
- Dr. Brooks Agnew
- Christian Macleod
- Robin Haynes
- Ash Hamilton
Speakers will share experiences as well as seek to answer the “timeless question ”are we alone in the Universe’?”
There will also be a costume contest, a children’s area, and live music. And once the festival concludes you will have the opportunity to participate in a stargazing event at the Skyline Village Inn.
You may be asking the question “why Spruce Pine to host this event?” Well, there are more UFO sightings in Spruce Pine and Mitchell County than anywhere else in North Carolina according to the festival.
Last year’s Alien Festival was enjoyed by over 25 thousand avid Alien and UFO lovers. The event is kid and dog-friendly as well so bring the whole family!

These Are The 5 Most Popular Conspiracy Theories In North Carolina
Today, July 20th marks the 53rd anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. But there are many people who question did it really happen? While it is widely discussed is it one of the most popular conspiracy theories in North Carolina?
Well, BetKansas.com revealed America’s most popular conspiracy theories across each state. They did this through the utilization of Google Search Trends over the last decade to see the most searched and talked about theories.
When major events happen that change the world and people’s lives it can be difficult to come to terms with so people often start to ask why, and how and look for explanations that maybe make sense than the official narratives. Conspiracy theories often gain traction and anyone in power denying them just adds fuel to the fire. Do I believe every theory is true? No, some of them are just too out there. But I do think that odds are some are true. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not. The movie buff in me hopes that National Treasure’s theory of the President’s Book of Secrets is true and maybe one day someone would release it. But I don’t expect that to happen. How interesting it would be though!
I know the stories that intrigue me but are they the same conspiracy theories the rest of North Carolina is interested in? Let’s find out!
