The Eatmon Award by For The Struggle Inc. is a really big deal. The mission of FTS is to utilize various outlets, including community outreach, policy reform, and legal action to advocate. They advocate on behalf of communities to fight systemic issues of racial and social injustice. Alesha Brown is the Founder and Executive Director of For The Struggle, Inc. Brown has worked with and for various organizations and sees the value. Brown founded FTS in May 2019 with the goal of creating an organization that truly focuses on the needs of the community needs from within by partnering with members and leaders of impacted communities.
