I love pumpkin picking. Ever since I was a child, it was one of my favorite Fall activities to do. This year, I decided to do my pumpkin picking at Carrigan Farms and it was such a fun time.

Since moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, I have probably tried out a good five (maybe even six) pumpkin patches within the area over the course of ten years. I never tried Carrigan Farms before, but I am so glad this year I did. Located in Mooresville, North Carolina, Carrigan Farms has a 20-acre pumpkin patch that features big small, green, and orange pumpkins to choose from. We went this past Sunday and you can see how the experience went below.

What A Day Pumpkin Picking Can Look Like

The Cost

For pumpkin picking at Carrigan Farms it is only $14 per person. Each person gets their own pumpkin and you can to enjoy a fun ride on a hayride and petting zoo. If you want additional pumpkins it is 75 cents per pound. It is a cash or check only farm.

Tips When You Go

Few things I will say that is helpful for anyone looking to go pumpkin picking at Carrigan Farms is:

  • Make sure you bring cash or a check. They do not take a card.
  • Make sure you wear old, close-toed shoes for the pumpkin patch. It can be muddy!
  • Bring hand wipes after picking. Things can get a little messy.
  • Pack a little tripod for family photos. The farm is stunning and you can snag some great fall family photos.
