To lose weight, be more organized, save money, or take risks. Chances are you are among the millions of Americans who set intentions for the new year. But will you keep those New Year’s resolutions? History usually says no. But there are some places where it’s easier to keep that New Year’s resolution. Our friends at WalletHub recently conducted a study to determine where Americans are most likely to stick to their newly made goals. They looked at some of the most commonly made and broken resolutions and ranked 180 cities on their conduciveness to keep those resolutions.
None of the Carolina cities cracked the top 10 but one is in the top 20 with another city sitting just outside at 21. But don’t take this study as proof that you can or can’t succeed with your intentions this year. With a little effort, you can make these lifestyle changes into habits, and once they are second nature. Well, you’re set for success. Whether you have large or small goals for the future, you can stick with them. And that work will be worth it.
So about the best cities to keep New Year’s resolutions. Keep reading to see where each of the North and South Carolina cities rank followed by the top 10. Read the full WalletHub study here. Happy New Year!
