ICYMI: Nas and Lauryn Hill Team Up to Take on North America
Hip-hop royalty is looking to join forces and take over North America, even if just for a span of about a month.
The unequivocal King and Queen of early lyrically-laden hip hop, Nas and Lauryn Hill will join dynasties at the beginning of September for a one month tour across North America. Beginning September 7 in Chicago, Ill. and ending in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 11, the tour will feature 17 stops at major U.S. and Canadian cities. The two previously toured together back in 2012 following the release of Nas’ Life Is Good album, which featured only 10 shows.
This tour comes twenty years after the dynamic duo first collaborated on the iconic track “If I Ruled The World (Imagine That).” The soundtrack of the summer and late nineties continues to be a classic hit among hip hop heads, with many hopefuls awaiting the live version that will surely be a must-play for the couple.
While rumors surround Nas and his potential love interests and upcoming album, the North American tour will undoubtedly get fans excited to see two legends retake the concert circuit.
Up-and-coming reggae singer Chronixxx will open for 11 shows while comedian Hannibal Burress will handle the rest of the opening dates. Tickets will go on sale Friday June 2 through Live Nation. Check out the entire tour dates and locations below:
