Cardi B’s ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ Is Finally Here!
And lemme tell you right now – this is fire.
So, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this album. I love how goofy Cardi B is, and I’ve been a fan of the personality itself, but I had a hard time understanding the hype to “Bodak Yellow” at first. So I was waiting for ‘Invasion of Privacy’ to come out to see what my true thoughts were on her talent.

Kicking off the first track “Get Up 10,” you know right away it’s going to be the strong woman’s Facebook Status and Tweets – living it as a full anthem. We had already heard tracks “Bodak Yellow,” “Be Careful,” “Drip (feat. Migos),” and “Bartier Cardi (feat. 21 Savage),” so those were tracks we didn’t need to really dive into.
The good surprise was “Best Life” with Chance The Rapper, which really shows that Cardi can do range. Between the slow, chill beat that throws you back to Chance The Rapper’s ‘Acid Rap’ sound, Cardi holds strong on the track, as well as with “Be Careful.” We’re so used to her biggest singles and features being Trap Rap, so for these tracks, it shows that she can be versatile if she wants to be.
Other mentionables include “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, which tosses down some Latin flair, and “I Do (feat. SZA),” which is another strong female anthem – as SZA croons about leaving guys on “read,” and how the ladies do what they like, and like what they do. Cardi uses the best line in the song, which people have been blowing up on Twitter:

The weakest tracks (in my opinion) are “Money Bag,” and “She Bad (feat. YG),” just because they kinda go in one ear and out the other. They don’t hold up against the other tracks in terms of power, and sound like everything else out there at the moment.
“Thru Your Phone” is a slow jam about a cheating boyfriend, so we’re just hoping this isn’t about Offset for any reason. It’s not my favorite track by any means, it kind of falls in the same category as being forgettable.
The only thought I can leave you with is this one from a Twitter user, we’re all looking out for Nicki Minaj to react:

Something tells me Cardi is solidifying her fame RIGHT NOW.
