Students Will Go To School On Memorial Day In Lancaster County
This is not a makeup day. It is a planned day of school.
The federal holiday honoring our fallen soldiers will be business as usual at schools in Lancaster County.
Memorial Day has been on the calendar as a regular school day ever since teachers voted they wanted the class to be in session. They say they wanted to wrap up the school year by June.
Teachers have also voted by 70% to have the day considered a normal school day next year. The Superintendent says they’ll use the school day to teach kids about the day’s history and the importance.
