Charlotte Teacher Eases Kids Anxiety With Panther Themed Room
Today is the first day of school for many kids in our area, and that can be a bit stressful. Phil and I were talking about back to school anxiety on-the-air this morning, and then I saw this story. A Charlotte teacher did something cool to help kids not be so anxious on their first day back to school.
Mitch Toros is a 3rd-grade teacher at Sterling Elementary in Charlotte. He recently shared a video of his classroom online, and the video has now gone viral. It’s even been recognized by the Carolina Panthers!
Toros decorated his entire classroom in Carolina Panthers attire. The Panthers-themed classroom includes a framed Luke Kuechly jersey, team banners, and even locker room lockers for ‘cubbies!’ Very cool!
I love when teachers go the extra mile for kids. There are so many amazing teachers, and their job is not easy. Much love and respect to all of our teachers and school workers. Hoping you have an awesome year! Thanks for all you do!
