Monica’s Divorce From Shannon Brown Is Finalized
As we previously reported, singer Monica was in the process of divorcing her husband, Shannon Brown. Now, their divorce is officially final, according to reports from That Grape Juice .
On Tuesday (Oct. 22), Monica appeared at a Georgia courthouse where their union was formally dissolved in a process that took about 10 minutes.
Monica showed up to court. However, Brown did not. Monica and Brown were married for almost a decade and the former pair initially split back in March.
Monica and Brown share their six-year-old daughter, Laiyah, and Monica also has two older sons from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko.
The “Commitment” singer had previously gone by @MonicaBrown on social media. Prior to her divorce being finalized, she changed her social media handle to her first and middle name, @monicadenise.
