Man Attacked By Bobcat Outside NC Home
A North Carolina man was attacked by a bobcat. It was just a simple trip to the store and some groceries to unload. At least that’s how it began. A man was unloading groceries when he heard a growl and saw his chickens bolt. Scott Jackson who lives in Moore County saw the bobcat just before it jumped on his back. He was able to escape by twisting its paw and getting the animal to release him. Jackson was bit approximately a dozen times in the shoulder area. He was given rabies shots as a precaution.
Jackson is from Eastwood, NC which is near Pinehurst. Bobcats live throughout the state but aren’t commonly seen according to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.
