Dukes Mayo Classic Games What You Need To Know
College Football kicks off tonight! And this weekend Charlotte will play host to not one but two college games at Bank of America Stadium. Tonight East Carolina will take on Appalachian State and Saturday the entire college football world will have its eyes on the Queen City when No. 5 Georgia battles No. 3 Clemson. The Teams:
When are the Dukes Mayo Classic games?
- ECU v APP State is Thursday, September 2nd at 7:30 pm
- Clemson v Georgia is Saturday, September 4th at 7:30 pm
Who is favored to win?
- App State is a 10 point favorite
- Clemson is a 3 point favorite
When do gates open?
- Gates open at 6 pm for ECU v App State and 5:30 pm for Clemson v Georgia
What else is happening around the games?
- FanFest events will happen before both the Thursday and Saturday Night game
- Friday night there is a concert outside the stadium featuring Ingrid Andress, Warrick McZeke, and Jukebox Rehab
- Saturday Morning ESPN’s College Game Day will be live from Romare Bearden Park
Stadium Policies
- Clear bag policy: approved items may be placed in transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or purses, bags or clutches no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″
- Prohibited Items: Alcoholic beverages, all balls, including footballs of any size, all non-transparent bags or items, including backpacks, binocular/camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags, diaper bags, fanny packs, purses larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, etc., baby seats, balloons, coolers or containers, including cans and bottles, explosives, fireworks, folding chairs, food and beverages, except two (2) sealed plastic non-flavored water bottles per person, horns, bells, whistles and other noise makers, illegal drugs, laptops, laser pointers, pets, except service animals assisting those with disabilities, seat cushions with covers, zippers, clasps, pockets or any other device that would allow concealment of any item, selfie sticks, strollers, umbrellas, video equipment, weapons of any kind and size, including guns, knives, scissors and those carried with a permit
- Items that will be permitted but will be inspected at bag check locations prior to entry: Any transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″, purses, bags or clutches no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, baby bjorns, containers for medical supplies for diabetics (please contact security at 704-358-7000 for more information on the approval process), flags without poles or sticks, seat pads without covers, zippers, clasps, pockets or any other device that would allow concealment of any items, tablets
- Mask Policy: Per city and county mandates masks are required in all indoor areas
