Young Dolph’s Label Announces Tribute Album ‘Long Live Dolph’
In honor of Young Dolph his label, Paper Route Empire, will be putting together a compilation album as a tribute to the late rapper. The album will be titled Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph and will feature Key Glock, Moochie Grape, Kenny Muney, and more.
The first single “LLD” is already out by Dolph’s cousin, Jay Fizzle, who is also one of the PRE artists.
Paper Route CEO Daddyo spoke Rolling Stone about the album, which is set to be released Jan. 21 and how Dolph impacted all of those around him, “My best friend, brother, and loyal business partner Dolph was loved and admired by people all over the world. He led by example and influenced so many people both near and far. The world will never be the same without Dolph but I know he’d want me to continue his legacy by working hard to push all our artists to the next level and make PRE an international brand. I hope his fans love it as much as I do.”
Dolph was killed outside of a local bakery in his hometown of Memphis back in November of 2021. So far authorities have one suspect, 23-year-old Justin Johnson, for which they have issued an arrest warrant for first-degree murder, per WREG. Per local Memphis news outlet, FOX13, Johnson said on social media that he would turn himself in to authorities claiming his innocence but has yet to do so. The MPD is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
