One of the Number One Trending Topics in Charlotte right now is the death of 6 black females. The deaths have been around the city and around the same time. The deaths have all been different. The CMPD has dispelled all the allegations that there is a serial killer in the city. The last time there was a serial killer was back in the 90s. Henry Wallace was captured as a serial killer back then and was linked to 11 deaths.

This week, CMPD was made aware of social media posts spreading a rumor of a serial killer targeting women in Charlotte. The posts referenced death investigations, claiming them to be linked. These posts have inaccurate details and are spreading misinformation. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/o6Ssc4hn9U

The department said Tuesday on Twitter, “There is no evidence at this time that any of the cases are linked.”

 “CMPD is aware of a variety of social media pages that draw their own conclusions based on CMPD investigations. With a much deeper level of investigative information in these cases, CMPD is not able to draw the same conclusion that this particular Facebook rumor indicates, which is that there is a serial killer in Charlotte.”
