4 National Chain Restaurants Suddenly Close In This North Carolina City
This is a head shaker. 4 national chain restaurants suddenly closed in this North Carolina city. The city of Salisbury has had a lot of places close their doors recently. Just the other day, O’Charleys joined that group.
In the last couple of weeks, Salisbury has had a rash of closures. Just recently Applebees permanently shut its doors. Now O’Charleys posted a note that they were closing permanently. According to WBT-TV, the eatery thanked the customers for all their support but they were now no longer in operation.
W. Craig Barber, O’Charley’s CEO issued this statement.
“Like many brands in the casual dining space, we have faced unprecedented disruptions to our business over the last few years. Based on a variety of these industry challenges and the current macroeconomic environment, we closed this O’Charley’s location as of October 23.
It is always a difficult decision to close a store, but the decision aligns with a variety of actions to ensure we continue to thrive as a brand. The O’Charley’s brand is proud to have been the place for great food and good times for more than 50 years and we look forward to continuing this legacy for the next 50.
We encourage our guests to visit us at any of our other restaurants across the Southeast and Midwest.”
Salisbury has seen a lot of closures in the last few weeks. IHOP has shut its doors. SweetFrog Yogurt has put up a notice that it will close on Friday.
