Oakroom was a popular club here in Charlotte. When I saw the news that Oakroom was closed and now a different club, I was shocked.
Oakroom was in SouthEnd Charlotte. It is actually within walking distance of the radio station. I remember tournament weekends were spicy all around the city, but there were some great events that happened in this space. I have only been in Charlotte for about 10 years, but I know that there have been some amazing nightlife spaces that were a lot of fun. Oakroom was indeed one of them. I know your next question is what is in this space now? Let me show you here.
According to a post on Instagram, Oakroom has indeed closed, however, it’s a new country bar. At this bar, there will be line dancing, a country dj, and country karaoke. I am totally down to go to this new space specifically for the karaoke.
