Doja Cat Confirms Deluxe Of ‘Scarlet’
Is there new Doja Cat music on the way? The singer/rapper released her fourth studio album, Scarlet, back in September, but we might be getting more from her soon. The California native hopped on Instagram Live to ask her fans their opinions about a new song she is thinking of releasing.
“I may play a song that’s not out yet that I am releasing,” she said during the livestream over the weekend. “And if you guys don’t like it, I won’t put it on the deluxe. And if I don’t put it on the deluxe, that will be fine, but I need an opinion. I need an opinion from you.”
Scarlet is a true solo effort, as it contains no features. Scarlet has 15 tracks, with the lead single “Attention,” followed by “Paint The Town Red,” “Demons,” and “Balut.” Doja earned her first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Paint The Town Red.” It uses a sample from Dionne Warwick’s 1964 hit “Walk On By.”
The singer also went on tour last October to accompany the album. The “Paint The Town Red” rapper won’t be alone on this journey as she has recruited both Ice Spice and Doechii to go along on tour with her. The tour ended on Dec. 13 in Chicago.
Doja Cat Changes Cover For Scarlet
Originally, the cover art for Scarlet had a purple spider with a drop of blood or venom in the front of the insect. Now, the updated look features two spiders with pearls on their backs. The singer captioned the photo, “SCARLET 9.22 (updated cover)” and offered no other explanation.

Fans believe that she changed the cover art due to the German metal band Chaver’s next album, Of Gloom, which is also was released on 9/22. You can see a split image of Chaver and Doja’s original cover here.
Scarlet follows Doja’s Grammy-winning third studio album, Planet Her. Planet Her was released in 2021.
