The Babe Cave Is Back In Charlotte: For Women By Women
If you were ever a fan of the whimsical decor at The Babe Cave, I’m here with great news for Charlotte. The Babe Cave is back and it’s for women by women.
Sunday’s was a space for brunch, fun, and for women to let their hair down and be their authentic selves. Brunch on Sundays at the Babe Cave gave great food, great times, and even more amazing cocktails. The Babe Cave was a space of sophistication, luxury, and more. I attended brunch on Sundays many times and every time I was able to meet so many different like minded women that wanted to grow, loved a great time, but most importantly, that loved God.
After so many amazing events, great times, great food, and more, the Babe Cave closed its doors. The void that The Babe Cave filled in the city of Charlotte was so necessary. As a woman, I enjoy being around women who understand the need for a certain type of balance. I am all about having a great time, but I like a great, safe time. The cocktails were next level at The Babe Cave. The details that were placed into the original space were extravagant as I like them.
I am so excited to say that those good times at The Babe Cave are indeed back. I had an opportunity to view the new Babe Cave and I was blown away. Upon entering, you automatically feel a welcoming energy. The owner, Robbie Guzman, greeted me as she always does, with hospitality. We immediately picked up where we left off during our last conversation at the previous location. The current location is smaller than the original, but honestly, the size may be smaller, but Robbie’s heart for delivering luxury is double the size of the previous space.
The new and improved Babe Cave is double the sophistication and double the luxury. I sat down with Guzman to dig deeper into the thought process behind the new space. The new location is minutes from Uptown Charlotte at 3021 Bank Street, suite 101 right off of South Tryon between Remount and Clanton Rd. The grand opening date is set for April 26th, and reservations flooded in as soon as they opened last Friday. With the opening date nearly sold out, there are amazing things we can expect from The Babe Cave.
One of the amazing additions in the first Babe Cave location is “Babe Memberships”. These memberships have some amazing perks:
- Business Bestie Package
- Bi-Monthly master classes on business (2- hours)
- Monthly members only free events
- 10% discount on public ticketed in-house events
- 15% off on up to 3 private large-party reservations
- Quarterly learning day (4-hours) led by various industry leaders
Yes, this space is created for women, by women, but yes, men are allowed. The Babe Cave will be open for business on April 26th. Here is the schedule:
- Thursday – Friday 5p-11p
- Saturday 12p-11p – Saturday reservations will look different from before. 12p-2p and 3p-5p will be allocated for cocktail and floral workshops.
- Saturday 5p-11p is open time for drinks and table reservations
- Sunday 2p-8p – Brunch-ish. (Once a month The Babe Cave will have a ticketed elevated brunch. This will consist of 3-4 courses and will feature various local and national chefs.
Before I share words from the owner, let’s get into this menu that will be featured at The Babe Cave. I can’t wait to taste what is called “Babe Bites”. The current menu was curated by Chef Reyana of Your Braisen Chef LLC.
- Salad – topped with rose balsamic vinaigrette
- Mini grilled cheese with tomato basil soup (most likely paired with the above salad)
- Grazing Boards
- Walking Taco (This is a very uniquely branded item. Will most likely be a hot ticket)
- Deviled eggs (smoked salmon, jerk shrimp, and Caesar)
- Jerk chicken salad on a mini croissant
- Street corn avocado toast
- Brie and bourbon caramelized crostini
- Greek pasta salad
The Babe Cave brand was always known for its unique specialty cocktail menu. All of these look extremely tasty. I also found out all syrups are made in-house. I thought that was a perfect addition. Here is the cocktail menu. I won’t give away all the ingredients although, I think the names will have your mind wondering where The Babe Cave went with these.
- Frida The Margarita
- If Pretty Were A Cocktail
- French Kiss
- Cocoa Chanel
- Bad Girl RiRi
- Espresso Martini
- Vita-Vibes
When I sat down with owner Robbie Guzman, I had to get just a bit more insight into the preparation and the luxurious mind behind such a creative space. Guzman stated, “This go round, the obvious is the social aspect of The Babe Cave, but we have a commitment to creating community with educational based programs”. She went on to say “There is a lot of educational value which I’m excited about. We’ve always been a community, but now we are a brunch with a bigger purpose”.
We went on to discuss how critical selecting the right team was to building The Babe Cave. Guzman stated, “The team became critical because I realized I could not build a broad community by myself. I’m much more intentional about collaboration and partnership”. When I mentioned “for women, by women”, I then found out about an elite advisory group of women known as “The Babe Guard”. The group consists of elite, Ivy League educated women whose “wealth of knowledge” provides an important level of business guidance for The Babe Cave.
I purchased a camera a few months ago, and photos have been a fun hobby. Check out some of the photos below I shot inside the Babe Cave.
