Carolina Panther Greg Little Now Becomes a Dolphin
Just one year after selecting Greg Little in the second round of the NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have sent him on his way.
The team has traded the 23-year-old offensive tackle to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2020 draft, the Panthers announced Tuesday. Little, their 2019 second-rounder, had fallen down the depth chart here, and there was no guarantee he was making the roster anyway this upcoming year.
The Panthers also released veteran fullback Rod Smith, waived/injured center Mike Panasiuk, and waived/injured linebacker Nate Hall. The Panthers have to decrease the roster to 80 by next Tuesday, before final cuts to 53 are due on August 31st, 2021. Since he joined the Panthers, Little has started in just six of the 14 games he played.
