You May Have Strong Feelings About North Carolina’s Favorite Airline
It’s something people have extremely strong feelings about…their favorite airline. I was actually having a conversation earlier where I mentioned I’m hesitant to fly any of the “bargain” airlines. My exact words were “I think that’s just something I’m bougie about.” The lack of alternatives if you’re flight gets canceled or delayed is a big thing for me. I don’t need the amenities back I also don’t want to be charged extra for every little thing either. And I do worry about what cheaper tickets get you in terms of planes and the quality of staff. So yeah I can bougie about this one.
When it comes to a favorite airline or the airline people fly the most location is a big deal. Here in Charlotte we are an American Airlines hub. And that convenience and the availability of direct flights is a big reason why it’s my airline of choice. Both my parents and I have credit cards with the airline and I can almost always find a variety of flights to my intended destination. I know some people who are highly critical of American as well. The inconveniences of flight delays I’ve experienced with them have been weather-related so I can’t fault the airline for that too much. And it hasn’t been enough for me to look elsewhere.
I’ve flown a handful of other airlines though as well. I have no complaints about them. Though I have to say I don’t get the Southwest love as the seating is a little too stressful for me personally but to each their own! So when I received this research from BetCarolina about the favorite airline of North Carolinians I was curious. To create it they used Google Trends from December to March.
North Carolina’s Favorite Airline
So the data is clearly based on the quantity of searches more so than customer satisfaction so keep that in mind. And with Charlotte being an American hub it’s no surprise to see them on the top of this list. As a loyal American customer, I agree. I’ve also heard wonderful things about Delta though I have personally never flown them. Having to often connect in Atlanta an airport that I hear horror stories from is a deterrent. What’s your favorite airline? Are you team cheaper airlines or do you find yourself a little bougie like me?
