Charlotte Dilworth Area Getting These Major Changes
Those living in the Charlotte Dilworth area, get ready! Charlotteans there is more major development coming to the Charlotte Dilworth area of the city. The Dilworth area is growing and changing just like the rest of Charlotte.
Charlotte Dilworth Area Changes
There have been many real estate development companies that are eyeing the Queen City. We have particularly seen a lot of changes recently in the South End area and the Dilworth area as well. More changes are coming as another developer, The Falcon Company, is coming to Dillworth.
After coming across an article from WSOC, I decided to do a bit more research. The development is expected to be between South Blvd and Euclid Ave. This new development will be right down the street from the radio station and there were a few things about this that I found to be a bit different. The building will be called Centre South. There will be over 300 apartments in this building, but approximately 66 of these will have an income requirement attached with the rental. You will have to make 65%-80% of the median area income to qualify for these apartments. I went over to Google to determine what the average and the median income was for the Dilworth area in Charlotte. According to Point2Homes, the median area income is around $82,034 per year.
This company has been in the real estate development business for a long time now in many cities. It was bound to happen here in Charlotte. With these major changes, the Dilworth area is bound to see a surge of more developers and repeat developers very soon.

I do believe that a lot of people will say the same thing some residents of Atlanta state. Don’t move here. We don’t need anymore people. LOL. This just goes to show that Charlotte is a very fast growing city and has been for a very long time. I’m sure with adding income qualifications, that is a game changer for developers. It’s not the fist time, it just seems that it’s more public to control resident types possibly. You want individuals who are able to afford where they are living and have the same type of residents around in the same building.
