Charlotte Gears Up for 12 Winter Events With Prices From Free to $152
Winter fun kicks off around Charlotte this week, with activities ranging from free fitness classes to pricey shows. The winter events run from Dec. 11 through Jan. 5.
At Ovens Auditorium, you can see Lindsey Stirling’s 8 p.m. show, while the Ballet puts on “The Nutcracker” at 6:30 p.m. Concert tickets cost up to $152, with ballet tickets starting at $32.
The dazzling Speedway Christmas lights stay lit until Jan. 5. You can drive through the light show for $35 – 45. Over at Camp North End, you can hit the ice rink from 4 through 10 p.m. for $15.
If you’re watching your wallet, check out Mint Museum Uptown’s yoga classes — pay what you can up to $10, or come for free. Music lovers can head to Goldie’s Dec. 11 open mic night at 6 p.m., where people share their Spotify Wrapped picks for free.
Chris Estrada brings his comedy to The Comedy Zone on Dec. 11, with tickets at $20. The Funny Bus offers a boozy holiday tour around town — bring your drinks and shell out $35 for some laughs.
Truist Field turns into Light the Knights on Dec. 12. For $14, you get ice skating, snow tubing, and access to a holiday market from 5 to 10 p.m.
Art enthusiasts can make their own mugs at Salted Melon’s $75 workshop. Beer meets history when Levine Museum teams up with Free Range Brewing for “Charlotte Loves Beer.” You can grab tickets for $30 on Dec. 12.
