You know about the great BBQ in Western North Carolina if you have ever been there. The beautiful mountain scenery is accompanied by a smokin’ barbecue that is sure to delight any palate. We compiled our list of 10 places that are smokin’ good for some BBQ.

From Lenior to Hendersonville, all the way to Black Mountain, there are tons of places to get a plate full of tasty BBQ. By using some self-tasting and Google reviews, this is our list of the best of the best. For these 10 I am looking at Western North Carolina as anything West of Charlotte.   • 1. Haywood Smokehouse

  • 3. Pig & Grits

    Located at 620 W Main St, Burnsville, NC 28714. From their Smokehouse Breakfast and Slow Smoked Hickory BBQ to the Sweet Iced Tea, Pig & Grits delivers that ‘down home’ southern experience that BBQ is known for.   • 5. Smoke On BBQ

    Located at 585 S Caldwell St, Brevard, NC 28712. You can see more on this BBQ spot here. Smoke On is a Drive-thru only Restaurant. Great eats, served up fast. It’s the food that matters.

  • 6. Big Nick's BBQ

    We are shouting out the 7 E Sylva Shopping Center, Sylva, NC 28779 location of Big Nick’s BBQ. Tim Fisk brings 25 years of BBQ experience to Big Nick’s BBQ. “Big Nick’s BBQ” is an ode to Tim’s father. You can see more on their BBQ here.

  • 7. Hubba Hubba Smokehouse
