A Charlotte High School Student Was Killed This Morning While Trying To Catch The Bus
Sad news to report today, as a high school student was hit by a car while trying to catch the bus.
The incident happened in Southwest Charlotte, in the Steele Creek area.
The student, who attended Olympic High School, had missed her bus and was reportedly trying to run after it when the incident happened.
According to WSOCTV, a woman informed the news station her son was a passenger on the bus, and witnessed the girl getting struck by a passing vehicle on Buckthorne Ridge Lane.
At this time, the student’s name has not been released.
Police are still investigating the incident. It is not known at this time if the driver of the car will face charges.
