CMPD Officer Nearly Run Over After Responding To Call At Airport
11:04 p.m. Update:
The vehicle belonging to the suspect has been found in a parking lot at CMC Hospital. It’s not clear at this time if the suspect is still inside the car or is seeking treatment at the hospital.
CMPD is investigating an officer involved shooting on airport property. The officer is OK. Subject fled scene. More info will be released ASAP

This just in, a police officer with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department was nearly run over moments ago at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
At the time the incident occurred, Officers were responding to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle in one of the parking decks at the airport.
According to WSOCTV, the parking deck where the officer was nearly run over is an area designated for employee parking.
In response to the incident, the officer fired shots at the vehicle.
It is not known at this time if anyone inside the vehicle was injured.
