Gucci Mane Agrees To Pay $10,000 A Month In Child Support Case
Gucci Mane has agreed to pay $10,000 a month in his ongoing child support battle with the mother of one of his children, reports Yahoo.
The “Lemonade” rapper and Sheena Evans, the mother of his son, appeared in court on Friday (July 26) for their hearing.
The two told the judge that they had reached a settlement that was approved by the court.
The Atlanta rapper will be paying almost $10,000 a month in child support, as well as cover the costs for new transportation for Evans and his son, per the deal.
Gucci Mane also has to make a six-figure payment in back child support and the rapper will receive visitation while Evans will continue to have primary custody of the child.
Evans sued the “Wake Up In The Sky” rapper, last year, in an attempt to increase the child support for their son Keitheon (born in 2007) from $2,076 to $20K. The mother claimed that there was a significant increase in the rapper’s income since he was released from prison in 2011. She cited the rapper’s $1million wedding.
However, Gucci Mane filed documents that demanded the court to deny Evans’ request and throw out the lawsuit. Gucci claimed that no substantial change in his finances took place since their original 2011 agreement. The rapper also denied spending $1million on his wedding to Keyshia Ka’Oir.
In 2011, Evans was awarded primary physical custody of Keitheon while Gucci Mane was granted visitation rights. Gucci was also ordered to pay $2,026 a month in child support, based on his monthly income at the time of $24K.
