Charlotte’s Open Market Re-Opening
GUADALAJARA, MEXICO - MARCH 27: Customers go shooping in a flea market despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 on March 27, 2020 in Guadalajara, Mexico. While most countries and major cities have ordered a lockdown to halt COVID-19 spread, Mexican president Lopez Obrador has not called for national quarantine yet. His critics argue he downplays on coronavirus threat as he seek to protect the economy. In Guadalajara, measures to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 have been taken, schools of all levels are closed since March 16, business around the city must shut down and many tests will be taken in people suspected to be infected. 57 cases have been confirmed in Mexican State of Jalisco. I remember the first time I went to the open market. I was in heaven. COVID-19 has caused a lot of businesses to close, but slowly, but surely, they are reopening.
We are starting to see business once closed around the area, open up for business with a few regulations in place. If you’re looking to get out this weekend Charlotte’s open-air market is reopening. It’s located off Central Avenue, right where Eastland Mall used to be at so you can’t miss it.
This Flea Market will be operating on May 30th-31st at 7 am-5 pm. Expect to see a rich multicultural environment filled with many vendors selling apparel, shoes, jewelry, maybe even masks lol. And You can’t forget about the yummy food trucks that they will have available.
