UCPS To End Quarantines For Non-Positive Students
Union County Public Schools (UCPS) met this morning to address COVID-19 policies. The meeting is just days after Governor Cooper called out the district as one of five school districts in the state not requiring masks. The UCPS school board voted 8-1 this morning to end contact tracing and the resulting quarantines for any students or staff who are test negative and are asymptomatic. This policy goes into place immediately.
As a result, any students and staff that are not on the COVID-19 positive list and are not showing symptoms can come back to school.
