North Carolina Vaccine Lottery Winner Is A Covid Survivor
Roy Cooper’s million-dollar prize lottery for taking the vaccine hasn’t seen the dramatic uptick it was hoped to bring. But that doesn’t mean that some lucky individuals haven’t enjoyed their winnings. The second North Carolina vaccine lottery winner, selected in a July 7th drawing, actually had COVID-19. Natalie Everett of Pineville was the second winner of $1 million dollars. In a news conference in Raleigh on Thursday Everett said she feels beyond excited, grateful, and just very overwhelming”. She previously had COVID-19 but after what she described as “a lot of research” so elected to get vaccinated. “I believe getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent me from getting the virus again,” she said in a news release.
