Video: Possible Baby Shark Sighting In South Carolina
When Nicole Oister’s daughter suddenly came running out of the ocean she thought her daughter may have been stung by a jellyfish. But it turns out that wasn’t the case. It was however another unexpected visitor- a potential baby shark in the South Carolina waters.
The Oister family was vacationing in North Myrtle Beach from upstate New York. Their 11-year-old daughter Sara was boogie boarding when she spotted a fin and immediately ran out of the water. After reviewing the video (below) the family had taken they spotted a small shark. The family said they are aware of the risks of swimming in the ocean and that they were in the sharks’ territory.
Luckily no one was hurt and it is a unique memory to take home. The shark was sighted near 8th Avenue and Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach. Have you seen a baby shark in South Carolina or at any other local beach?
