Oh no! A shark attacked a Hilton Head lifeguard. The guard was in the water in the Palmetto Dunes area of the popular vacation destination when the attack happened. He was checking the water conditions when he was approached and bitten by the shark. According to WTOC-TV a Savannah, GA TV station, he suffered deep wounds on his chest but is excepted to survive. He was flown by helicopter to a Savannah hospital for treatment.
This is the second reported shark attack in the area in just two weeks. It's starting to sound like Amity Island. The other attack took place July 27th near Tybee Island. Which is crazy, I was just there a few months ago although it was too cold to be in the water that day.
