Coffee Isn’t the Most Popular Caffeine Source for North Carolina
Are you a coffee drinker? We know plenty of people enjoy drinking coffee when they need that extra boost of caffeine. That one cup of joe in the morning is what gives some people the extra charge they need. So, you may think that coffee is the No. 1 source of caffeine for most people, right? Guess again!
Shane Co. curated a list of the most popular caffeine source in each state and North Carolina’s might surprise you a bit. The list of caffeine sources is truly beyond long. I am not a big caffeine drinker so I never really realized how many options there are. From coffee to tea to supplements to chocolate to soda to espresso and more! How crazy is that? The results of which caffeine source is the best in each state are kind of cool. Tea came in at No. 1 for 15 states while energy drinks came in at No. 2 for 13 states. You see, coffee isn’t even one of the top two. In North Carolina, the top caffeine source is supplements. That’s right, supplements. Who would have thought? In South Carolina, it’s also supplements. Sounds like supplements are pretty popular in the Carolinas. I would have never guessed it because I feel like I see so many people drinking coffee 24/7. To determine the top source of caffeine, they used information from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Google Trends. Check out what the other results were for other states. You might be surprised.
