North Carolina Native Nominated for 2023 Oscar
Brian Tyree Henry is an actor and was nominated for his role in the movie “Causeway”. You might know him as the character Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles from the hit FX tv series Atlanta. That’s the role that a lot of people really began to recognize the acting talent that this man possesses. Brian is actually a North Carolina native, he was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and also grew up in Washington DC. His father was in the military and his mother Willow Dean Kearse was an educator.
Henry attended Morehouse College as a business major. He later received his master’s degree from Yale School of Drama. Henry has received various nominations for an academy award, 2 primetime Emmy awards, a screen actors guild award, and a Tony award.
The Oscars will be broadcasted on February 5 at 8 pm. There you can see if Henry will win his first award.
