Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Says He’s Out Of The Hospital
Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corrine Foxx, has given fans a positive update on his condition. “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corrine started her Instagram Story post. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
She added: “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!” Corrine gave no additional details about her father’s condition or why he was hospitalized last month. She is the DJ on Jamie’s show Beat Shazam, alerted fans about her father’s condition exactly one month ago.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne shared in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” the statement read. “The family asks for privacy during this time.” Several stars publicly gave their well wishes to Foxx and his family during this time.”
Jamie broke his silence after being in the hospital for several weeks by posting on Instagram. The Oscar-winning actor posted a short and simple message reading, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.” He also included hands pressed together, fox and heart emoji.
Foxx also took to his Instagram Story to thank Nick Cannon, who will be filling in for him as the guest host of Beat Shazam during its sixth season.
“Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon,” Foxx wrote on his Instagram Story. “See u all soon.”
“Beat Shazam has been an unscripted mainstay on the FOX schedule for six seasons and counting. This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx. Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ,” a statement shared on Instagram read at the time. “Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer.”
Since Corrine mentioned a “work announcement” coming next week, it could mean that the father-daughter duo will be back on Beat Shazam for its upcoming season.
