Did A Popular Author Allegedly Accuse Tyler Perry Of Plagiarism?
I don’t know what is going on, but Tyler Perry is the next celebrity to be accused of alleged plagiarism. A very popular author made some possible claims through a recent cryptic message.
Kristina Roberts, formally known as the author Zane is a NY Times best-selling author. She is the author of some of the best erotic books known to black women. Her books were to somewhat soap operas may have been to others. Tyler Perry is also a creator near and dear to not only black women across the country but also near and dear to the black church community. Tyler Perry sacrificed seemingly everything for his dreams to be a reality as a playwright. He went through a period of homelessness and much more to build the successful empire he had built. Everyone has secrets, but I’m not sure if plagiarism is one of his. This is what some internet users are making of a somewhat cryptic message posted by popular author Zane.
In the message she posted about dates of a few things she has written. So I’m sure you’re wondering how these are connected. Tyler Perry recently released a new movie via Netflix called “Mea Culpa”.
The movie stars Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes. There were a lot of mixed reviews online, but a lot of ones I saw, were some what split. While I did see a few people their reviews reflected in an enjoyable fashion. However, there were also some that wanted their time back. Now why again are these two relevant? In Zane’s statement, she also states she wrote a piece called “Mea Culpa”. Fans in her comments quickly rose assumptions as to what this message really meant. I do believe she wanted to clear up a few things, but I also think she wanted suspicions raised. Either way have you read the series and saw the film? Are their similarities?
