Charming South Carolina City One Of Best Places To Travel In September
It’s hard to believe the summer travel season is almost over. But, if you need another getaway, this South Carolina city was named one of the best places to travel in September. So, which spot made Travel+Leisure’s list?
Best Places To Travel In September
According to the travel publication, Greenville, South Carolina is one of the best places to travel in September. They point out that the changing seasons give locally sourced fruits and vegetables a chance to shine.
And, Morgan Allen, executive director of ‘Euphoria,’ an annual food and music event in September, says, “More than 200 restaurants in downtown Greenville alone feature cuisine from all over the world, and from some of the most talented chefs across the Southeast.”
The event features activities over 4 days that include tastings, dinners, ‘lunch and learns,’ and wine seminars. The dates this year are September 19-22. And, if you decide to venture to one of the best places to travel in September for the event, Travel+Leisure has some suggestions about where to stay.
One of their suggestions is the Hyatt Regency, where the ‘Roost’ restaurant offers up some delicious Southern inspired delights.
It’s been many years since we lived in Greenville, South Carolina. However, when we did, the Hyatt was one of our favorite places to meet friends for drinks and to hang out. I even remember one particular night when we gathered in the lobby of the hotel with friends and had a memorable night around the piano.
Although I am not certain it was something the hotel would’ve preferred us to do, one of our friends was a fantastic piano player, and he sat down and treated us all to quite the performance. It was a memorable send off to one of our co-workers who was leaving us for another job. And, I’ll always remember the Hyatt in Greenville very lovingly.
So, I second the sentiments of Travel+Leisure when they named Greenville, South Carolina as one of the best places to travel in September and the Hyatt a great place to stay. For more on the best places to travel this fall, see the full list from Travel+Leisure, and let the adventure begin.
