Snoop Dogg’s 10-Day-Old Grandson, Kai Dies
Snoop Dogg’s grandson, Kai has died. Snoop’s son Corde Broadus shared the disheartening news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, following his birth only 10 days prior, as People reports.

“Kai Love 9/15/19 – 9/25/19 ///// My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world. His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here,” Corde wrote as his caption. “Thank you.”
Corde’s post was of a video of his 13-month-old daughter Elleven Love giving her baby brother a kiss while he was in the hospital and a sign that read his name and death date. The sign also read, “Love + Light” along with a smiley face.
Kai’s cause of death is currently unknown, and Snoop Dogg has yet to comment on the loss of his grandson, but his wife, Shante Broadus has taken to social media to reference her grief.
Shante shared a video of herself singing The Dells song “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind” while in her dance studio. She wrote,” To My Fifth G Baby Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19 #TheLoveWeHadStaysOnMyMind #MamaTae,” as her caption along with two broken heart emojis and multiple colored hearts.
She also shared another video of herself dancing to Anita Baker and she wrote in her caption, “Thank you for all your well wishes. I see and feel them all…The only person that could get me thru this mood is [Anita Baker].”
Snoop and Shante became grandparents for the first time back in January of 2015, when Corde’s then-girlfriend Jessica Kyzer birthed their first grandson, Zion. Corde shares his daughter Elleven with his partner Soraya, who also birthed Kai.
