Charlotte Pride Cancelled Due To COVID-19
The annual Charlotte Pride and Charlotte Black Pride festivals have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These events are pretty big and popular in the Charlotte community as it attracted 23,000 out of town visitors just last year in 2019 bringing in revenue. The president of Charlotte Pride Board of Directors stated that the health and safety of everybody within the community and attendance of the events are what matters the most right now during this crisis.
Even though the events have been canceled the Board of Directors are planning a digital and online event but both events are on the works of beings rescheduled for the next year 2021. Charlotte Black Pride week July 11-18 2021 and Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade August 21-22, 2021.
