Food Banks Running Out Of Staple Items

With millions of Americans out of work during the lockdown, food banks are running out of staples like rice, beans, pasta, and canned goods – in part due to a supply chain that’s been disrupted due to the pandemic.
According to the charity network Feeding America, about 1 in 7 Americans relied on food banks before the pandemic, and over the last month, demand has doubled and even tripled in some areas. Below are some food pantries in the Charlotte area.
