After 28 straight hours of broadcasting, our 15th fundraiser for the Salvation Army Center of Hope is complete! This is one of my favorite events that we do here at Power 98. For 28 hours straight, we (The Morning Maddhouse) broadcast live outside. That’s right, we give up our beds and sleep outside to bring awareness to a very important situation that effects everyone…Homelessness. The money raised benefits the women, children, and veterans housed at Charlotte largest homeless shelter.
Now, normally we are actually at the Center of Hope. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to be there this year due to COVID restrictions. Instead, we posted up outside of our Power 98 studio on South Blvd. The change in location did not stop you from pulling up and showing out!
Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to raise (drumroll please…) $5,584.80 in 28 hours! But that’s not the best part. The donations are still rolling in! If you did not have an opportunity to donate but want to still help out CLICK HERE.
Check out some of the pictures from our annual 28 Hour Broadcast below and THANK YOU to EVERYONE that donated and helped to make this special event a HUGE SUCCESS! xoxo, Ms. Jessica “The Girl Next Door”
