Need help with your heating bill this season?  Well, if you live in Mecklenburg County you might be eligible for The LIEAP Program, which stands for The Low Income Energy Assistance Program.  I had an opportunity to chat with Ginny Harper, Community Program Director, and she gave me all the details about this wonderful program.

To learn more about the Mecklenburg County LIEP Program and/or to complete an application, please visit mecknc.gov/energy or apply in person at the Wallace Kuralt Building (301 Billingsley Road, Charlotte NC, 28211), the Community Resource Center (3205 Freedom Drive, Suite 1000, Building A, Charlotte, NC 28208) or the new Ella Scarborough Center (430 Stitt Road, Charlotte, NC 28213).  Or you can complete a telephone application by calling the DSS Call Center at 704-336-3000.  Don’t forget the dealing to apply is March 31, 2024.
