Our Favorite 2024 Met Gala Looks

The 2024 Met Gala took place last night and many of your favorite celebs took the red carpet. This year's theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” which highlights apparel so frail it can no longer be worn, gala guests followed “The Garden of Time” dress code.

Some stylist found the theme hard to follow so Anna Wintour apologized for the theme's confusion. “This exhibition broke my cardinal rule,” Anna said. “When we came up with the title ‘Sleeping Beauties,’ it’s wonderful and poetic and romantic, but actually, it could be many, many things.” She continued, “I said, ‘What are we gonna say to people to wear to this night?’ And [MET Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton] said, ‘Well, what about ‘Garden of Time?’ So, I fear that we’ve unleashed a lot of confusion out there, and for which I deeply apologize.”

Cardi B stole the show at the 2024 Met Gala in a stunning black gown by Windowsen, requiring a team to position the voluminous dress for photos. She accessorized with a black turban, a giant jade necklace, and earrings, perfectly fitting the event's theme, "The Garden of Time." Her stylist, Kollin Carter, revealed on Instagram that the look was inspired by a black rose, making Cardi's entrance a memorable moment of the night. Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez also looked stunning! Lopez dazzled in a silver leaf gown by Schiaparelli, while Zendaya wowed in peacock hues and a black Givenchy gown.
