37 Stores Closed on Easter Sunday (and 23 That Will Stay Open)

On Easter Sunday (April 4th), many grocery stores, pharmacies, and large retailers are giving their employees a much-needed (and well-deserved) day off.

Here is a list from RetailMeNot of the companies that announced they will close for Easter Sunday, as well as ones that will remain open. Please note, check with your nearest location for specific hours of operation. It is also important to note that the CDC’s updated guidelines strongly encourage people to limit their grocery store trips, order items for pickup or delivery, wear masks, and practicing social distancing.

  2. Big Lots (10 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
  3. BJ’s Wholesale Club (Reduced hours at many locations and Optical centers are closed)
  4. CVS
  5. Dollar General
  6. Duane Reade (Most stores will be open, but check the hours of your nearest location.)
  7. Fresh Market (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with curbside pickup and delivery.)
  8. Harris Teeter (Most stores will be open, but check the hours of your nearest location.)
  9. Kmart
  10. Kroger (Kroger pharmacies will be closed.)
  11. Meijer (Offering curbside pickup and delivery on orders of $50+.)
  12. PetSmart
  13. Rite Aid
  14. Safeway
  15. Save A Lot
  16. Starbucks
  17. Stop & Shop (Offering curbside pickup and delivery)
  18. The Home Depot
  19. Trader Joe’s
  20. Walgreens (Most stores will be open, but check the hours of your nearest location.)
  21. Walmart (7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with contactless pickup and delivery.)
  22. Wegmans
  23. Whole Foods (Closing two hours early.)
