The Today Show is in some hot water after revealing a new version of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. On Tuesday morning, the Today Show brought on Josh Gates from the show Expedition Unknown from the Travel channel to reveal a new “accurate” reconstruction of the Queen. To everyone’s surprise Queen Nefertiti did not look black, like some felt she should look, but white. This is where social media was scratching their head because she did not look remotely from Egypt however Josh claimed the reconstruction was accurate. I think Josh missed that history lesson in school because Egypt is in Africa where there are majority Africans not Caucasians. Social media swarmed Josh’s Twitter account with comments bashing the Travel Channel because it wasn’t really an actual depiction of the Queen of Egypt. What do you guys think about this?
